    It was a very strong opening weekend for the Yale women’s crew. On the second day of the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational, the Bulldogs won all five races against Wisconsin and Minnesota.

    Yale women’s crew is off to a very strong start at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational in Tennessee. The Bulldogs varsity eight picked up four victories, including over perennial national power Virginia in the afternoon session. Yale’s varsity four also went undefeated over the two sessions.

    Jamie Snider has enjoyed tremendous success guiding the fours for the Yale women’s crew. Now he will share his knowledge with US Rowing. Snider has been named an assistant coach for the United States team at the World Rowing U23 Championships.

That is certainly the case again in 2019. Yale will race nine crews that finished in last spring’s final CRCA US Rowing top-20 national poll.
  • Bulldogs Finish Strong At Head Of Charles

    Yale wrapped up the fall racing season with a strong showing on the final day of the Head of the Charles in Boston. The Bulldogs had two eights entered in the championship eight and both raced well. The varsity was the fourth fastest collegiate finisher and placed sixth overall with a time of 17:24.904. The second varsity was the fastest collegiate 2v and posted a time of 18:09.616.

    Yale has been declared the winner of the club eights at the Head of the Charles. Harvard and Penn, which posted faster times on Saturday, were disqualified for rules violations.
  • Bulldogs Set For Head Of Charles

    Yale will race three crews in the annual Head of the Charles this weekend in Boston. The third varsity, with bow No. 2, is first up on Saturday in the women’s club eight at 2:33 p.m. The varsity and second varsity will wait until Sunday to compete in the women’s championship eight, which is set to start at 2:26 p.m. The varsity is bow No. 5, while the second varsity is bow No. 12.
  • Strong Start To Fall Season At Head Of Housatonic

    It was a dominant start to the fall season for the Yale women’s crew. The Bulldogs top crew easily posted the fastest time in the collegiate division at the annual Head of the Housatonic. Yale finished with a time of 14:45.5, nearly 14 seconds faster than second-place Brown. On the day, the Bulldogs had four of the top 11 fastest crews.

    The Yale women’s crew kicks off the fall season on Saturday by competing in the annual Head of the Housatonic. The Bulldogs will have four eights entered in the women’s collegiate eight, which is set for 11 a.m.

    Yale Assistant Coach Jamie Snider returned to his alma mater, Ridley College, last weekend where he was the recipient of a very special honor. Snider was presented with the Ridley Athletic Lives of Distinction Award.
