During high school, Jamie competed on the cross country skiing and track teams. She qualified for the Junior Olympics as a cross country skier. As a distance runner, she ran for her varsity track team all four years of high school. Her team were league champions in 2002.
At Yale, Jamie rowed six seat on the JV her freshman year, finishing second at Eastern Sprints. She moved up to the varsity boat her sophomore year, finished third at sprints and was named an Academic All-American.
Jamie is a junior in Timothy Dwight College. In her spare time she likes to run marathons, most recently running the 2006 New York City Marathon in November. When not rowing, Jamie likes to go white-water rafting. She hopes to go into physical therapy after leaving Yale.
