Snider is in his 14th year at Yale and is in his second stint as an assistant coach for the women's crew. Since returning to the women's program in 2005, Snider has coached the varsity four A and B boats. Each one of his crews has medaled at the Eastern Sprints. The A boat won gold medals in both 2007 and 2008. Snider also has been an assistant heavyweight coach. In 2005, the Yale heavyweight crew senior class established the Jamie Snider Cup, which is presented each year to the winner of the combo race at the Yale-Harvard Regatta. In 1997 he led the undefeated third varsity to an Eastern Sprints gold medal, and at New London he lead the 'combo' crew to a season ending win over Harvard. Prior to Yale, Snider was the head coach for the Cincinnati Junior Women's Program. There, his crews medaled at the Stotesbury Cup and Midwest and American Rowing Championships. In addition, Snider is the Director of Yale's Community Rowing Program. He is a 1973 graduate of Ridley College.
