35th Anniversary Celebrated; 1979 Championship Team To Be Honored On April 18

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Yale women's crew will celebrate its 35th anniversary and honor the 1979 championship team on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Gilder Boathouse in Derby. In addition to the festivities, the Bulldogs will row Princeton on the Housatonic River. The weekend will include activities on Friday evening, a full day on Saturday and brunch on Sunday.
The 1979 varsity eight went undefeated, captured the Eastern Sprints title and Yale's first national championship. The Bulldogs' varsity has also won NCAA titles in each of the last two years.
