NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Yale women's fencing team finished a tough day of fencing at the NYU Invitational tournament on Saturday, Jan. 22. The Bulldogs compiled an overall record of 1-4 on the day. Yale defeated WSU, but fell to Notre Dame, Northwestern, NYU and Ohio State. The loss against NYU was particularly heartbreaking for the Elis, as it came down to just one bout. At last year's tournament, Yale posted a 2-3 record, with the only difference being a victory against NYU.
