COLUMBUS, Ohio - Senior epeeist Tasha Garcia and sophomore sabreist Madeline Oliver concluded competition in the NCAA Fencing Championship for Yale on Sunday. With eight points from Oliver's finish in sabre competition (20th) and five points from Garcia's finish in epee competition (21st), combined with 37 points from the Yale men's team on the first two days of competition, Yale finished in 12th with 50 points. Notre Dame won with 174 points.
Oliver finished the tournament with a winning percentage of 0.348, having put together eight victories. She scored 75 touches and received 97. Garcia finished with five wins and a winning percentage of 0.217. She scored 67 touches, while receiving 106. Her participation in the NCAA Championships marks the final college competition for the Yale senior.
