Bulldogs Lead After Day 1 at Princeton Invitational

Princeton, N.J. - It's hard to imagine that the women's golf team could have started their season any better than they did Saturday, as the Bulldogs stood in first after the first 36 holes of play, just ahead of the host Princeton Tigers at Springdale Country Club. Freshman See Hoo Moon led the way in individual scoring, posting rounds of 74 and 68 on the day - the only player to shoot below 70 at the tournament.

Yale's next best finisher was Senior Harriet Owens-Bradley, who tied for seventh in the individual standings after posting rounds of 72 and 77. Junior Cassie Boles finished just behind Owens-Bradley, tied for thirteenth with rounds of 77 and 75.

Sophomore Alex Lipa shot 80 and 73 in her two rounds of the day, while captain Alyssa Rowland rounded out the Bulldogs' scoring with rounds of 79 and 76, good for 26th overall.

Yale will tee off for another 18 holes Sunday morning as they look to hold on to first and start their 2010-2011 season off with a win in Princeton.
