The Yale women's golf team finished a long, 36-hole day in 14th place overall at the Lady Pirate Invitational, hosted by East Carolina University. Sophomore Seo Hee Moon followed up a morning round of 76 with a stellar second-round 69 (-3) to pace the Bulldogs, and is tied for 11th overall in the individual standings.
Sophomore Sun Gyoung Park and junior Alex Lipa both finished the day at +9 through 36 holes, good for a tie for 46th, while freshman Shreya Ghei carded a two-round 155, two strokes behind her teammates. Junior Joy Kim fired a second-round 78 to place her in a tie for 79th.
Host East Carolina leads the tournament with a combined score of +7 through two rounds. Just behind them is the University of North Carolina-Greensboro (+9) and Maryland (+12). At +1 overall, Moon trails the individual co-leaders, Fanny Chops (UNC-Greensboro) and Laverry Kumar (UNC-Wilmington) by six strokes heading into the final day of competition Tuesday.
