Bulldogs in Eighth After Day One at Hoya Invitational

The Yale women's golf team sits in eighth place after 36 holes at Georgetown's Hoya Invitational after firing a combined score of 659 over Monday's opening rounds. Sophomore Seo Hee Moon led the way for the Bulldogs after round one, and classmate Sun Gyoung Park finished the day with Yale's best two-round score - 162 - good for 20th in the individual standings.

The Bulldogs are tied with Seton Hall heading into tomorrow's 36 holes, and are nine strokes behind seventh-place Georgetown. Penn (646) sits tied for sixth, and all are chasing St. John's (635).

Moon was sixth overall after round one by dint of her opening-round 78. Park duplicated that score in her second round after a tough morning to propel herself to the front of the pack. That duo and the rest of the Bulldogs will finish with another grueling two-round day tomorrow before returning to New Haven.
