Bulldogs Within Striking Distance Heading into Final Round at Ivy Championships

Galloway, N.J. - The defending Ivy League Champion Yale women's golf team is in a good position to defend its title heading into Sunday's final round at Seaview Golf Resort. The Bulldogs sit in third place after 36 of 54 holes, but are just one stroke behind second-place Penn and four off the pace set by Harvard.

The dynamic duo of Sun (Gyoung Park) and (Seo Hee) Moon shone Saturday as they have throughout this spring season. Moon was particularly brilliant, posting a second-round 75 to catapult herself into sixth in the individual standings. There she sits five strokes behind teammate Park, who is in fourth with a combined 155. Harvard's Bonnie Hu is in first with 150.

All five Bulldogs are in the top 25, as freshman Shreya Ghei also worked her way up the standings Saturday thanks to her round of 77. She is tied for 13th, two strokes ahead of junior Alex Lipa (T-19th). Captain Lily Boettcher is tied for 24th.

Yale will tee off for the final round tomorrow morning, and try to make up ground on Harvard and Penn. As they do so, they'll have to hold off a charge from fourth-place Columbia (five strokes behind the Bulldogs), as the Lions are the only other team within thirty strokes of the top spot.
