The Yale women's golf team took third in the the 2012 Ivy League Championships, ten strokes behind winner Harvard, and just four behind second-place finisher Penn. Sun Gyoung Park had a spectacular weekend for the Bulldogs, taking third overall: her 54-hole score of 231 was just one behind Penn's Isabel Han for second place. Harvard's Bonnie Hu (225) took home the individual championship.
Park fired her best round of the tournament Sunday (76). Her classmate Seo Hee Moon also tore up the leaderboard after a tough opening round, and finished eighth overall (238). Freshman Shreya Ghei made it three Yale underclassmen in the top twenty with her 15th place finish (247).
All five of Yale's golfers finished in the top 25, as Captain Lily Boettcher and junior Alex Lipa tied for 15th with 54-hole scores of 255. Boettcher ended her Yale career in style, firing her best round of the Championship Sunday (82).
Columbia's Michelle Piyapattra - last year's individual title winner - was named Ivy League Player of the Year, while conference rookie of the year honors went to Harvard's Tiffany Lim, who finished 7th.
