Weather Halts Play at C&F Bank Invitational

Third Round on Wednesday Cancelled

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — A two-hour weather delay to start off the day Tuesday has delayed competition at the C&F Bank Invitational, where the Yale women's golf team is competing from Mar. 17-19.

While players were originally scheduled to tee off starting at 7:45 a.m. this morning here at the River Course at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., damp weather pushed back the start for two hours. As a result, many golfers have been unable to complete their second rounds for the tournament.

Play was stopped at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and will resume starting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. A third round of play scheduled for Wednesday has been canceled, reducing the competition to a two-round tournament that should wrap up around noon Wednesday.

Yale ended the first day's round at 313, just 11 shots behind tournament leader Boston College (302) and substantially ahead of Ivy League rivals Columbia (326) and Penn (329).
