Strong Result Despite Difficult Weather

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Inclement weather did not ruffle the Yale women's golf team, which fought diligently to take sixth place among a highly-competitive 28-team field here at the Mar. 17-19 C&F Bank Invitational.

Hosted by William & Mary at the River Course at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., the C&F Bank Invitational this year has been disrupted by weather—a two-hour rain delay on Tuesday halted play, reducing the overall competition by a round to make it a 36-hole event.

But those changes did not deter the Bulldogs, who put up a 618 total to finish in sixth, substantially ahead of Ivy League rivals Columbia and Penn which finished in a tie for 12th and 15th, respectively. Boston College claimed the championship with a 598 total

Leading the way for the Yale team was junior Seo Hee Moon, who fired a 151 on her way to a share of eighth place.

With their spring break tour now wrapped up, the Bulldogs will return back to the northeast to fine-tune before the remainder of their spring campaign. Next up is the Apr. 8-9 Hoya Invitational, which takes place this year at the Four Streams Golf Course, Gaithersburg, Md.
