SARASOTA, Fla.– During the final round of the Harvard Invitational, the Yale women's golf gave their best performance of the tournament with a round score of 304. The Bulldogs finished the tournament in sixth place with a final overall score of 928. The team had three players finish in the top twenty.
Junior Jennifer Peng gave a phenomenal performance, firing four birdies during the third round. She ended round three with a score of 74 (+2), which allowed her to claim T13th place individually. Also breaking the top twenty were freshman Beryl Wang and senior Elisabeth Bernabe. Wang gave a standout performance throughout the tournament, demonstrating her cool and skill on the field. She scored a 77 (+5) in the third round. Bernabe also showed grace under pressure and scored a 78 (+6) during the round. Both players ended in T18th.
Rounding out the team score, junior Jayshree Sarathy scored a 79 (+7), her best performance during the tournament. Also giving her best performance, sophomore Julie Luo improved by 4 points from the second round, ending round three with a score of 75 (+3).
Overall, the Bulldogs gave a good performance during the Harvard Invitational, improving with every round. As they move into next week's tournament, they hope to continue their momentum and continue to improve.
