NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale gymnastics team resumes competition this Sunday at Springfield College for a three-way meet with Springfield and Rhode Island College after finishing fourth at the Ivy Classic last weekend. At the Ivy Classic, won by Cornell, senior Brigitte Kivisto took home the floor exercise and all-around titles, earning an ECAC Co-Gymnast of the Week honor in the process.

This will not be the first time that the Bulldogs have faced either team this season. Springfield, the fourth-ranked Division III team in the nation, traveled to Yale’s John J. Lee Amphitheater on Feb. 13, for a dual meet, with the Bulldogs coming out on top 188.925-183.000. Since then, the Pride has had two meets, finishing second against MIT and SCSU and third against West Chester and Temple.

The Bulldogs also defeated Rhode Island College at a five-way meet at Southern Connecticut State. Yale finished second with a score of 186.925 behind Bridgeport, while the Anchorwomen placed fifth with a score of 169.250. In the two weeks since that meet, Rhode Island College has split a pair of dual meets, defeating Wilson and losing to West Chester.

Competition begins at 1:00 p.m. at Springfield’s Blake Arena.
