Bulldogs to Compete Saturday in Quad Meet

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – After a season-opening win against Springfield College, the Yale gymnastics team travels to Ithaca, N.Y., for a four-way meet with Ithaca College, Rhode Island College, and Brockport. Against Springfield, the Bulldogs rode a series of strong floor exercises to a 175.875-171.150 victory, as Stephanie Goldstein won the all-around competition.

The competition will serve as a season-opener for Ithaca and Rhode Island College, while Brockport began its season last Sunday with a 178.375-170.575 loss to Cortland.

Two of the Bulldogs' three opponents should look familiar, though, as Yale faced both Ithaca and Rhode Island College last season. The Bulldogs defeated Ithaca at a five-way meet at SCSU and Rhode Island College at a three-way competition hosted by Springfield College.

The competition will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Ithaca's Ben Light Gymnasium.
