NEW HAVEN, Conn. – After three straight away meets to begin the season, the Yale gymnastics team finally returns to New Haven for a tri-meet with Rutgers and Ithaca, marking the start of a three-week home stand for the Bulldogs.
Ithaca should be a familiar foe for Yale, as the Bulldogs traveled to Ithaca for a four-way meet three weeks ago. The Bombers won that meet with a score of 184.750, while Yale finished third with a 179.500. Since then, Ithaca has compiled a 3-1 record, finishing second at a quad meet hosted by Rhode Island College and defeating Springfield in a dual meet.
Rutgers' trip to Yale will be part of a weekend filled with Ivy League competition. Tonight, the Scarlet Knights host Brown and Bridgeport before traveling to New Haven. With this two-meet weekend, Rutgers looks to improve upon its second-place performance last weekend at West Virginia.
Competition begins at 2:00 p.m. at the John J. Lee Amphitheater.
