NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale gymnastics team, after falling to Rutgers last week, will see the Scarlet Knights again on Friday night in a three-way meet hosted by Towson. The meet will be the Bulldogs' final preparation before next weekend's ECAC Championships.
Rutgers rides a two-meet winning streak into the meet, having scored 194.150 and 194.350 in its last two meets, including its defeat on Yale last week. The Bulldogs also finished second to the Scarlet Knights in a home tri-meet of Feb. 6, defeating Ithaca.
Likewise, Towson, the six-time defending ECAC champion, has been successful this year. The Tigers have won eight of their nine meets this season, with their only loss coming at Maryland. Towson averages a score of 191.722, while Rutgers averages a 192.360.
Competition will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Towson's Towson Center.
