NEW HAVEN, Conn. – With a score of 186.225, the Yale gymnastics team concluded its season with a seventh-place at the ECAC Championship, hosted by Brown. Cornell won the competition with a score of 191.675, avenging a loss to Penn at the Ivy Classic earlier in the year. Penn finished second with a score of 191.175. Towson, which had won six straight ECAC Championships entering the meet, finished third.

The Bulldogs began the day on the vault, with Mia Yabut, who missed the first half of the season due to a foot injury, tying for Yale's highest score of the day, a career-high 9.500. Stephanie Goldstein also scored a 9.500, good enough for 25th place. A pair of freshmen, Tabitha Tay and Maren Hopkins, finished 37th and 38th respectively with scores of 9.200 and 9.175. Sherry Yang scored a 9.100.

On the uneven parallel bars, specialist Lindsay Andsager tied for fifth with a 9.625, only .025 points from a top-three finish. Otherwise, the Bulldogs struggled on the bars. Yabut finished 28th with a 9.000, Yale's only other gymnast to break the 9.000 mark in the event.

Ashley O'Connor, competing in her only event of the day, led Yale on the balance beam, tying for 12th with a 9.550. Hopkins scored a career-best 9.500, earning 15th place. Yang scored a 9.300, while Nicole Tay scored a 9.175.

The Bulldogs notched their best performance of the season on the floor exercise. Yang, competing in the last event of her college career, tied for fifth with a career-best 9.800, only .050 points from the event's top finisher. Talis Trevino was shortly behind with an 11th-place 9.775. Tara Feld, who missed the last five meets due to injury, scored a season-best 9.750, tying for 18th place. Nicole Tay scored a career-best 9.625, while Tabitha Tay scored a 9.425. Goldstein scored a 9.375.
