NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Nine Yale gymnasts were selected as Scholastic All-Americans for the 2011-2012 season by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches. In order to qualify for the award, the gymnasts needed to maintain a GPA of at least 3.5. Yale ranked 14th in the country with an average GPA of 3.46.
The nine gymnasts honored were captain Stephanie Goldstein, seniors Tara Feld and Lindsay Andsager, juniors Maren Hopkins and Tabitha Tay, sophomores Morgan Traina, Joyce Li, and Brianna Chrisman, as well as graduated senior Monica Shoji '12. Yale had the second most gymnasts honored in the Ivy League, despite having one of the smallest teams in the Ancient Eight.
