NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Following a season-best performance, the Bulldogs are back on the road Friday as they travel to Iowa State. The Cyclones will host a quad meet this Friday with Northern Illinois, West Virginia and the Yale Bulldogs inside Hilton Coliseum Fri., Feb. 2 at 6:30 pm.

Last weekend, No. 25 Iowa State Gymnastics team scored a 195.275 in route to defeating Texas Woman's, who finished with a 191.050. The Huskies are coming off a close loss against the Chippewas scoring 194.950 to CMU's 195.650. As a team, the Mountaineers sit just outside the top 25 for the first time this season and rank No. 27 with a 195.188 average. The No. 24-ranked West Virginia gymnastics team earned two victories last weekend with a first-place finish, 195.05 showing in a tri-meet at UC Davis. The host Aggies finished second with a 194.2 total, and Illinois-Chicago placed third with a 193.025 team score.

After earning multiple ECAC awards this early in the season, Yale looks to build off the successes in the past three competitions.

At Towson, Yale not only earned the highest overall vault score this season, but the sixth-highest vault score in Yale history (48.400). In addition, the Bulldog's overall bars score of a 48.700 beat their performance at home of a 47.650. This is the highest score the gymnasts have had this season.

Expect 2x ECAC Rookie of the Week Jacey Baldovino to be a factor for the Bulldogs in the all-around competition. Since her arrival she has given impressive performances on all events. Sophomores Jade Buford and Emma Firmstone look to shine in the all-around competition as well.

The competition will be streamed live here.
