Yale Beats Rhode Island and Temple

Kingston, RI - The Yale women's gymnastics team dominated Rhode Island and Temple today, winning the meet with a final team score of 188.800. Rhode Island was second with 186.550, and Temple finished in third place with a score of 186.500.

Lauren Tatsuno '09 claimed first place in beam by posting a score of 9.775. Fellow freshman Alina Liao '09 was second with a score of 9.750.

Liao tied for first in vault with Bridget Murphy and Melissa Todd of Rhode Island. All three gymnasts were awarded scores of 9.550 in the event.

Jessica Blick '07 posted a score of 9.625 to claim second place on the uneven bars.

On the floor, Suchitra Paul '07 and Liao tied for third with 9.700.

In the all-around competition, Liao was second with a score of 38.050.

The Elis will travel to Towson, MD to compete against Towson and James Madison on Saturday, March 11 at 7 pm.
