ECAC Recognizes Seltzer, Peterson

March 30, 2007

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - In the past two weeks, the ECAC has bestowed Miki Seltzer and team captain Sarah Peterson with its weekly awards. Seltzer won Specialist of the Week for the third time this season after the Mar. 17 quad meet at West Virginia, while Patterson won the Co-Coaches' Choice award for her performance at the Mar. 24 quad meet at Penn State.

At WVU, Seltzer scored a 9.8 on the floor, the second highest score on the event. She placed behind a three-way tie of WVU gymnasts, whose team is currently ranked within the top 30 in the nation.

Peterson competed for the first time at Penn State after a serious injury she suffered at the very beginning of the season. Her elegant beam routine scored a 9.15.

The Bulldogs will compete at the ECAC Championships on Saturday, Mar. 31. The meet starts at 12pm in Cornell's Newman Arena.
