HAMILTON, N.Y. - Forward Marissa Dumbovy's power-play goal at 11:56 of the second broke a 2-2 tie, and Colgate went on to beat Yale 4-2 Friday night at Starr Rink. Senior forward Crysti Howser and senior defenseman Helen Resor scored Yale's goals, and the Bulldogs got 39 saves from sophomore goaltender Jackee Snikeris.

Yale (2-4-0, 2-3-0 ECAC Hockey) took a 1-0 lead on Resor's unassisted goal, as she put in the rebound of her own shot that hit off the boards at 6:14 of the first. But the Raiders tied the game four minutes later on a goal by forward Evan Minnick.

The second period scoring got off to a quick start, as forward Katie Stewart gave the Raiders a 2-1 lead 26 seconds in. But after the Raiders were called for tripping, Howser scored a power play goal 22 seconds after Stewart's tally. Junior defenseman Alyssa Clarke and sophomore forward Bray Ketchum assisted on the play. That was the fourth time in the last five games Yale has scored a goal in the first minute of a period.

Yale killed off two more power plays, including a brief 5-on-3, before the Raiders broke the tie on Dumbovy's goal. Stewart added another goal at 13:40 of the third for the 4-2 final.

Kimberly Sass made 33 saves for Colgate (7-5-0, 2-1-0 ECAC Hockey).

Yale continues it trip to New York with a game at Cornell Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
