Yale Faces Brown Live On-line Tuesday Night
Jan. 22, 2007
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - When Yale and Brown met last November, the Bulldogs were 3-3 and the Bears were 0-6. Since Yale pulled out a 2-1 win that night much has changed, and both teams enter Tuesday night's rematch at Ingalls Rink on a roll. The Bulldogs are 6-1-1 in their last eight games while the Bears are 5-2-1. A video feed of the game will be available live on yalebulldogs.com and will also be archived shortly after the game.
Yale (11-8-1, 7-7-1 ECAC) has now won two straight against Brown (6-13-2, 3-11-1 ECAC) for the first time in school history. The Bears had a 37-game unbeaten streak against the Bulldogs snapped last season by a 3-1 Yale win at Meehan Auditorium. Yale trailed 1-0 heading into the third period but got goals from senior forward Jenna Spring (Cranbrook, B.C.), sophomore forward Crysti Howser (Wilmette, Ill.) and senior forward Kristin Savard (Framingham, Mass.) for the win. Earlier this season the Bulldogs beat the Bears at Meehan again, 2-1, behind a pair of goals from Savard and 19 saves from junior goaltender Shivon Zilis (Markham, Ont.). The Bears lead the overall series 53-5-1.
