Duggan, Love Earn Second Team All-Ivy Status
March 2, 2005
New Haven, CT - Senior defenseman Erin Duggan (Beaumont, Alta.) and junior goaltender Sarah Love (Bayfield, Ont.) have been named second team All-Ivy League. Both played a key role in helping the Bulldogs to their first-ever home playoff series, a best-of-three ECACHL quarterfinal matchup against No. 10 Princeton that takes place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (if necessary) at Ingalls Rink.
Duggan leads all ECACHL defensemen in goals with 11 this season and is second on the Bulldogs in that category. She was honorable mention All-Ivy last season. Duggan is second on Yale's career assists list (59), third in points (95) and seventh in goals (26).
Love broke her own school record for wins this season (currently at 12). Last season she set the school record for save percentage (.931) and goals-against average (2.25), earning first team All-Ivy status.
Yale has set the school record for wins (14 entering Friday) and achieved its highest conference finish in history, ending the regular season in fourth place to earn home ice in the quarterfinals.
Admission to all playoff games is free, as fans are invited to attend as a guest of Yale Athletics to cheer on the Bulldogs.
