Resor, Team USA Earn Silver at Four Nations Cup

Yale sophomore defenseman Helen Resor (Greenwich, Conn.) earned a silver medal with Team USA at the Four Nations Cup in Hämeenlinna, Finland. The event concluded Sept. 4 with Canada edging the U.S. 2-1 for the gold medal.

Resor had a goal in Team USA's 5-2 victory over Finland to start the tournament. During the round-robin the U.S. also beat Sweden 2-0 and lost to Canada 4-0.

The U.S. national team is making a stop at Ingalls Rink as part of its "Skate to 2006" pre-Olympic tour. Team USA will take on a team of ECACHL All-Stars Nov. 1 in New Haven.
