Melissa Schweitzer

Melissa Schweitzer joined the Yale staff as a volunteer assistant for the 2013 season.

Schweitzer played for Temple from 2008 through 2012, earning third team All-Philadelphia Division I honors in 2012. She was an A-10 All-Rookie Honors Team selection in 2009.

Schweitzer just received her B.S. in kinesiology from Temple, where she was a three-time A-10 all-academic team selection and a two-time IWLCA academic honor roll pick. She was a Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area team honoree in 2011. She was also on the President’s honor roll from the fall of 2008 through the spring of 2012, and won a pair of awards in kinesiology -- the Aggie Stegmuller Award and the Nate and Eva Garfinkel Award.

Schweitzer has been active as a club coach with Phantastix since 2010, and also served as a coach at OJR Lacrosse Academy in 2012 and coached summer camp at Berks County Lacrosse Club in 2008. She has extensive volunteer experience, including work with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, Special Olympics, the Philly 6 Run, the ALS Walk, and the American Red Cross.
