NEW HAVEN, Conn.- Following the Bulldogs' win at the Duplin Trophy, senior Sarah Lihan and junior Elizabeth Brim were named NEISA Women Sailors of the Week. As the most experienced team racers at the regatta, Lihan and Brim led the Bulldogs to victory.

While most schools field a team racing team composed of all male skippers, Lihan and Brim sail in the team racing regattas weekly. Because the team racing of the other female skippers on the team is mostly limited to practice, Lihan and Brim were an extremely important asset last weekend. Their experience helped the rest of the Bulldogs compete on a high level.

While the women’s team will head to Brown this weekend for the Dellenbaugh trophy, Lihan and Brim will be sailing at the Southern New England Team Race Intersectional hosted by Coast Guard and Connecticut College.
