Seniors Jane Macky and Kate Hagemann named ICSA Women's All-American Sailors

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 1 Yale Women's Sailing Team's win at ICSA College sailing nationals was topped off yesterday with the announcement of All-American sailors at the event awards banquet. Senior Jane Macky was named Quantum Women's Sailor of the Year and All-American, and senior Kate Hagemann was named All-American.

Macky and crew captain junior Marla Menninger won A Division at Nationals while Hagemann and teammates placed seventh overall in B Division. The Bulldogs' performance at nationals is a reflection of their excellent performance all year. Announcement of the Co-ed All-Americans and All-American crews will take place at the ISCA/Gill Co-ed Dinghy National Championship regatta awards banquet after all racing is completed on June 3, 2009.

Macky is the first Bulldog to be named the Quantum Women's Salior of the Year. Macky and Hagemann have now been named All-American skippers twice.
