Ivy League Play Kicks Off At Princeton
Bulldogs, Tigers Meet Saturday
Yale at Princeton, Saturday – 3:30 p.m.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Home field hasn't meant much in the recent meetings between Yale and Princeton. In each of the last four years, it's been the team that travelled that has come out on top. Yale hopes that trend continues. The Bulldogs are at Princeton on Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. matchup that is the Ivy League opener for both teams.
The Bulldogs (3-3-2) had a productive pre-Ivy schedule. Head coach Rudy Meredith worked on a number of formations has been happy with his team's play of late. Yale has won two of its last three games, the only stumble coming against a Boston University team that may be the most underrated in the nation.
Senior Enma Mullo has played a big role in the recent success. She has at least one point in each of the last three games and was named the Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday. Mullo leads the team in points (6) and assists (2) and shares the team lead in goals (2).
Princeton (1-5-1) has had five players score its seven goals, including Jen Hoy, who shares the team lead with two. Hoy tallied the game-winner in last year's 1-0 Tiger victory at Reese Stadium.
Princeton leads the all-time series 20-13-4.
