Bulldogs Looking To Bounce Back After Trip To Chicago
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – After a weekend trip to Chicago, the Yale women's soccer team is right back to action on Tuesday night, hosting Saint Peter's at Reese Stadium. Kickoff is slated for an hour later than usual at 8 p.m.
The journey to the Windy City was a good learning experience for the Bulldogs, who dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 overtime decision to Loyola, Chicago and then fell 2-0 at Northwestern on Sunday. Yale's seven goals this season have come from five different players. Kristen Forster scored her team-leading second goal against Loyola.
Slow starts have plagued the Bulldogs. Yale has been outscored 5-1 in the first half of games, and is outscoring its opponents 6-1 in the second half.
Saint Peter's (1-6) is coming off a 4-1 loss to Mount St. Mary's last Friday. Chloe Zmolek scored the goal for the Peacocks. Emily Fenice and Jamie Lisanti lead the team with two goals apiece. Caitlin Hoffer has started six games in goal and has made 56 saves. Brett Sarsfield is in his second season as the head coach at Saint Peter's.
