Selected Ivy League Player Of Week
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Freshman Geneva Decker's big game against UMass Lowell caught the attention of one national website. Decker, who scored twice in the 3-1 victory over the River Hawks on Sunday, was selected as the CollegeSportsMadness Ivy League Player of the Week.
The goals were the first two of Decker's career. She comes to Yale after being named the Coastal League Player of the Year as a senior at The Bishop's School in California where she was a three-time first team all-league selection and a four-year starter for the varsity.
Decker scored the first goal of the game against UMass Lowell midway through the first half and then sealed the victory with a goal in the final five minutes that capped the scoring.
Decker and her teammates are back in action on Friday when they play at Georgetown at 3 p.m.
