NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale Softball team's skills clinic set for July 3-4 at Dewitt Family Field is sold out. The clinic, for children ages 8 to 12, offers infield and outfield instruction in addition to hitting and base running tips.
The skills clinic is a chance for a young athlete to get a variety of basic fundamental training and hands on instruction from college softball players. The participants are divided into two groups to receive the maximum amount of attention. Each group is given the basic fundamentals of each position and run through a series of drills specific to that position. Learning the basics is a key part of the success of making the game fun and challenging.
