Hunt, an honorable mention All-Ivy selection in each of her first two years, has issued only 30 walks in 380 career innings. Last year she was eighth in the Ivy league in earned run average (2.48), and she led the Yale pitching staff in wins (7), strikeouts (94), and innings pitched (129.2). She struck out eight or more batters on four occasions, and in her best game against Farleigh Dickinson, Hunt struck out a career high 13 opponents without allowing a walk. As of the start of this season, Hunt has the third highest career strikouts in Yale Softball history with 222.

In her sophomore season, Hunt led the Ivy League in earned run average (1.11) and was third in wins (12). She also led the Bulldogs in innings (126.1) and strikeouts (70). After earning victories over Army, Marist and Manhattan in a four-day stretch, she was named the Ivy League Pitcher of the Week. Against Cleveland State, she struck out a then career-high eight hitters in only four innings. In addition, she was named to the CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District I team.

Hunt enjoyed an outstanding rookie season for the Bulldogs. She led the Yale pitching staff in innings pitched (123.2) and tied for the team lead in wins (10). She issued only seven walks all season and was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week after she pitched six shutout innings against Brown. On three occasions she struck out six batters, including against Hartford when she earned her first career victory.

At Lake Wales High School, Hunt was a three-time all-state and two-time all-county pitcher. She helped her team to two regional finals and a district championship. Hunt also ran cross country and played golf.

At Yale she majors in Political Science and resides in Silliman College. She is the daughter of Frank and Laura Hunt.
