KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Peggy Hunt pitched a one-hitter and struck out nine as Yale topped Fairleigh Dickinson 3-0 at the Rebel Games. Hunt took a no-hitter into the seventh inning, but Jessi Potter singled up the middle with two out. Chelsea Kanyer had two hits for Yale. In their second game of the day, the Bulldogs fell to Toledo 9-0.
Against FDU, Yale jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Kristy Kwiatkowski, Christina Guerland and Kanyer all walked to start the rally. Niki Haab then drove in the first run on a fielder's choice. Jessica Meyer followed with an RBI single to left.
The Bulldogs added another run in the third. Guerland walked and later scored on Meyer's ground out.
Hunt, who picked up her second shutout of the season, did not issue a walk.
Against Toledo, the Rockets got home runs from Erica Singer, Kim Pettitt and Leslie Strong en route to the victory.
Yale was held to only two hits in the game, singles by Kanyer and freshman Courtney Blachford.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Sunday when they play George Mason at 2:20 p.m. and Bucknell at 4:10 p.m.
