NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Yale softball coach Barbara Reinalda will add two freshmen to her roster this fall. Meg Johnson of New Milford, Conn., and Lexi Peacock, a Monterey, Calif., native, form the Class of 2012.

A three-time all-state selection at shortstop at New Milford High School... Earned all-conference honors in each of her four years... Had a better than .400 career batting average... Captained the team as a junior and senior... Named Female Scholar Athlete at New Milford as a senior... Played shortstop for the Fairfield County Fury... Currently playing for the Connecticut Charmers... Also earned all-conference honors in volleyball and basketball... Twin brother attends Western Connecticut... Father, Dave, played baseball and hockey at Trinity College.

Lexi Peacock C/OF 5-4 R/R Monterey, CA York School
League Player of the Year as a senior at the York School... Batted .627 in 2008 and led the league in hits, runs scored and RBI... Four-year varsity starter... Named team most valuable player as a freshman and senior... Team captain as a senior... Recipient of the Coaches' Award as a sophomore... Helped York to a tie for the league championship in her senior year... Played for the Fresno Force 18U Gold team... Four-year starter for the York field hockey team... Team captain as a senior... Editor of the school yearbook as a junior and senior, helping to create the first color edition in school history.
