NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale women's squash team will resume play on Saturday following its winter break when the Bulldogs host the Dartmouth Big Green at 11 a.m. at the Brady Squash Center in New Haven.
The Bulldogs (2-1, 0-1 Ivy) last played on Dec. 5, when the team split the matches on its Pennsylvania road trip, falling to the University of Pennsylvania 8-1 before defeating Franklin &a mp; Marshall 9-0. The Bulldogs earned their first victory in a decisive 9-0 home match over Williams in the Nov. 20 season opener.
Dartmouth (1-1, 0-1 Ivy) defeated Franklin & Marshall 9-0 on Nov. 20 before falling in its Ivy League opener against Harvard 9-0 on Dec. 2.
Both teams should come into the match retooled following the significant hiatus in match play. The Bulldogs will look to develop a consistent high level of play as they head into the heart of their Ivy League schedule. After dropping their conference opener against the Penn Quakers, the Bulldogs will look to even their Ivy League record and remain in contention for the league title.
The Bulldogs have moved up one place to No. 4 in the latest College Squash Association Rankings, released Dec. 8. The Big Green remain in the No. 9 position in the latest poll.
