No. 4 Yale Defeats No. 5 Cornell 7-2, No. 6 Stanford 6-3

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 4 Yale women's squash team continued its top-notch performance at the Yale Round Robin by earning victories over No. 5 Cornell and No. 6 Stanford on Saturday at the Brady Squash Center.

The Bulldogs (6-1, 2-1 Ivy) began the day by defeating the Cornell Big Red 7-2.  The Big Red are now 3-5 overall, including 0-4 in the Ivy League.  The Bulldogs owned 3-0 victories at the No. 2, No. 6 and No. 9 positions, represented by junior Sarah Toomey, freshman Katie Ballaine and freshman Katie Harrison, respectively. 

In the nightcap, the Bulldogs bested the Stanford Cardinal 6-3.  The top of the ladder carried Yale in the match, with the Bulldogs turning in 3-0 victories at the No. 1 through No. 4 positions, as well as the No. 6 slot.

Yale will continue Round Robin play on Sunday against Mount Holyoke at 11:00 a.m. and Northeastern at 2:00 p.m.
