New Haven, Conn. - The Bulldogs will return to the courts on Saturday for the Ivy Scrimmages at Yale's Brady Squash Center.
The tournament, which features all eight Ivy teams, is one of the nation's premier preseason tournament. It will allow Yale to determine where it stands at the start of what promises to be an exciting season.
The Bulldogs, the No. 4 team in the nation last season, are much improved. Losing only captain Alia Aziz from the top nine, the women have much greater depth and the return of their top two players, Captain Logan Greer and Sarah Toomey. A stellar freshman class, highlighted by Millie Tomlinson, the No. 1 player in Europe over the past two seasons, should give the team both top-end strength and overall depth. The team has worked extremely hard this fall to give itself the opportunity to compete for both the Ivy and National Championships. Expectations are high with the team, and this weekend will be a chance to see where the Bulldogs stand to start the season.
The women's team will be playing at 12:45pm and 5:15pm on Saturday and 12:30pm on Sunday.
