NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 2 Bulldogs will compete against the No. 7 Big Red at Cornell this Saturday afternoon (12p.m.). The undefeated Yale squad is off to a strong start this season after besting No. 5 Penn and No. 8 Dartmouth in the past month. The Bulldogs have won three perfect contests thus far, and have dropped only seven individual matches the entire season.
Yale defeated No. 14 Amherst, No. 9 Williams, and No. 8 Dartmouth this past weekend. The Bulldogs will also welcome the return of freshman Camilla Tomlinson this weekend, ranked No. 10, who missed last weekend's matches to compete in the British Junior Open.
The Big Red (1-3, 0-3 Ivy League) has recently lost tough matches to the No. 5 University of Pennsylvania, No. 4 Princeton and No. 1 Harvard.
Last year, the Bulldogs defeated the Big Red by a convincing 7-2 score at the Yale Round Robin. Three Bulldogs posted 3-0 victories in the match at the No. 2, No. 6 and No. 9 positions.
