Following her match-clinching victory Saturday against Harvard, senior Caroline Reigeluth was named the Harrow Sports College Squash Player of the Week. Reigeluth went into her match against No. 1 Harvard's Sarah Mumanachit needing a victory for the No. 2 Bulldogs to emerge victorious, and did exactly what her team needed.
After a first game loss, Reigeluth took the next two and dropped the fourth. The decisive fifth game would determine not only the winner of the match, but also the Ivy League Championship and the No. 1 ranking in the country.
With the entire Murr Center crowd on the edges of their seats, Reigeluth calmly won the game 11-7, and both fans and players erupted.
After the match, Coach David Talbott described Reigeluth as "the spirit of the team off the court," which made her win "just so appropriate".
