SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Saturday, the No. 2 Yale women's squash team beat No. 13 Mount Holyoke, No. 22 Colby, and No. 20 Wesleyan at the Pioneer Invitational at Mount Holyoke, winning every match and dropping only one game total on the day.
The opportunity to play squads that weren't quite as competitive as Yale's usual foes allowed Coach David Talbott to vary his lineups and get some playing time for some players that are a little farther down the depth chart.
Against Mount Holyoke, in the first match of the day, Yale sent out freshman Millie Tomlinson at No. 1, then sophomore Kim Hay at No. 2, senior captain Rhetta Nadas at No. 3, sophomore Lilly Fast at No. 4, freshman Shihui Mao at No. 5, freshman Issey Norman-Ross at No. 6, junior Katie Harrison at No. 7, freshman Anna Harrison at No. 8, and junior Carolyn Brown at No. 9.
Next, against Colby, Yale used senior Aly Kerr at No. 1, then Nadas at No. 2, junior Katie Ballaine at No. 3, Mao at No. 4, Norman-Ross at No. 5, Katie Harrison at No. 6, Brown at No. 7, freshman Nina Kempner at No. 8, and senior Catherine Morris at No. 9.
Finally against Wesleyan, it was Tomlinson at No. 1, Nadas at No. 2, Ballaine at No. 3, Fast at No. 4, Mao at No. 5, Katie Harrison at No. 5, Anne Harrison at No. 7, Brown at No. 8, and Morris at No. 9.
