NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Friday, the Yale women's squash team kept itself in the hunt for second place in the Ivy League with a dominant win over Dartmouth.
In the match, the Bulldogs took care of business efficiently. The team was again without junior Kim Hay, the nation's No. 6-ranked player, but was nevertheless able to top the Big Green easily. Only three Bulldogs lost games, and the rest of the team did not allow so much as ten points in a game.
The ramifications of the victory are simple: the Bulldogs can now finish the season tied for second place in the Ivy League with Harvard (and perhaps Penn and Cornell, too) if they are able to top the Crimson in Cambridge on Sunday. Harvard is currently 5-1 in the Ivy League, while Yale is 4-2 and Penn and Cornell both come in at 3-2.
