Yale Beats Amherst, 9-0

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Bulldogs completed a NESCAC sweep Saturday afternoon, handily defeating Amherst by a 9-0 score. Captain Miranda Ranieri took the match off against the Lord Jeffs, but Yale still did not lose a single game.

Freshman Logan Greer stepped up into the No. 1 slot and defeated Alexandra Dalglish, 3-0 (9-1, 9-0, 9-1). Freshmen Sarah Toomey and Caroline Reigeluth also picked up three-game wins.

Anchoring the middle of the Yale lineup were seniors Sarah Barenbaum and Elisabeth Hill. No. 5 Barenbaum handled Di Kirkwood, 3-0 (9-2, 9-0, 9-0), and No. 6 Hill beat Melissa Moulton, 3-0 (9-0, 9-0, 9-2).

After Saturday's tune-up, Yale returns to Ivy League play next Saturday, when the Bulldogs host Cornell at 9:00 a.m. and Dartmouth at 1:00 p.m.
