Bulldogs Ice Polar Bears, 9-0

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Bulldogs finished up a solid weekend at the Brady Squash Center by defeating the Bowdoin Polar Bears on Sunday, 9-0. In an impressive performance, Yale won 27 games to Bowdoin's one.

No. 1 Miranda Ranieri, No. 2 Logan Greer, and No. 3 Sarah Toomey all breezed through their matches. Ranieri defeated Lauren Gesswein, 3-0 (9-1, 9-0, 9-3), Greer handled Emilie McKenna, 3-0 (9-3, 9-1, 9-1), and Toomey thrashed Elena Laird, 3-0 (9-2, 9-0, 9-4).

No. 6 Elisabeth Hill and No. 7 Tara Wadhwa each fought through tight 10-8 games, but they both won their matches in three games. Hill beat Jacqueline Deysher, 10-8, 9-3, 9-1, and Wadhwa defeated Elizabeth Gillespie, 9-0, 10-8, 9-0.

The No. 4-ranked Bulldogs will have their hands full on Wednesday, as the No. 5-ranked Trinity Bantams invade the Brady Squash Center at 5 p.m.
