CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Yale steamrolled over Brown in the first round of the Howe Cup on Friday in Cambridge, Mass., winning 9-0. In a thoroughly dominating performance, the Bulldogs won every match without dropping a single game.
"The girls were really excited to play today," Head Coach Dave Talbott said.
With the win, Yale will have an opportunity to avenge Wednesday night's tough 5-4 loss to Harvard. The Cantabs defeated Dartmouth 8-1 in other action today, and the No. 2 Bulldogs and No. 3 Crimson will play in the semifinals of the tournament tomorrow afternoon. No. 1 Trinity and No. 4 Princeton play in the other semifinal at 11:00 a.m.
"Everyone should be really pumped up for tomorrow," Talbott said.
