NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the 2013 Fall CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams on Wednesday, and the Yale women's swimming and diving team finished 16th among all Division I schools in the country. Yale finished above all seven other Ivy League schools.
The Team Scholar All America Award is given to college swimming and diving teams who have maintained team GPAs above 3.0. The awards are given out twice each year, for the fall semester and again for the spring semester.
The Bulldogs managed a team GPA of 3.48, good for 16th in the country. The University of Alabama women's team finished first in the nation with a 3.60. The next Ivy League school on the list behind Yale was Columbia, in 59th place.
On the men's side, Yale finished first in the country for the second consecutive semester, averaging a 3.62.
