  • Women's Swimming and Diving Welcomes Class of 2022

    This upcoming fall, the Yale women’s swimming and diving team will welcome nine members in the Class of 2022. The new class of Bulldogs features eight swimmers and one diver.
  • Bulldogs Recognize Top Swimmers and Divers from 2017-2018 Season

    This past season, the Yale women’s swimming and diving team had an undefeated record in dual meets, and finished in second place at the Ivy League Championships. The team recently recognized eight of its top performers from the 2017-2018 season.
  • NCAA Recognizes 15 Yale Teams

    Fifteen Yale teams have been recognized for academic excellence after scoring in the top 10 percent of their sports in the most recent Academic Progress Rates.
  • Pilkinton Named Captain of Women’s Swimming and Diving

    The Yale women's swimming and diving team voted junior Sophie Pilkinton to be the team captain for the 2018-2019 season. She will take over the role from outgoing senior captain Pauline Kaminski.
  • Winter Academic All-Ivy Announced

    The Ivy League released its list of student-athletes selected for 2017-18 Academic All-Ivy honors in its winter sports today, and 10 Bulldogs were honored. The recipients were starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages. Each institution nominated five men and five women from its eligible student-athletes.
  • Heidi Finishes the Season

    COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Being the only swimmer for Yale at the NCAA Division I Championships, Heidi VanderWel competed in the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard backstroke. With this meet, she finished her final season as well as collegiate swimming career with strong performances, leaving no regrets behind.

    NEW HAVEN, Conn.-- Senior Heidi VanderWel of the Yale women's swimming and diving team is headed to Columbus, Ohio, for the 2018 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, co-hosted by the Ohio State University and the Greater Columbus Sports Commission at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion from Mar. 14 until Mar. 17.
  • Paulsen and Tennant - Final 3M Dive

    Representing Yale, divers Talbott Paulsen and McKenna Tennant competed in the preliminaries of the 3-meter dive at the NCAA Zone A Championships. Though not their best performances, they finished their respective 3-meter dive for the final time of the season.

    Heidi VanderWel of the Yale women's swimming and diving team has been selected to compete at the 2018 NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships, which will be hosted by the Ohio State University and Greater Columbus Sports Commission at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio March 14-17.

    A couple of individuals from the Yale women’s swimming and diving team competed at the Bulldog Invitational meet at the University of Georgia as a last chance for swimmers to make the NCAA qualifier time.

    The Yale women’s swimming and diving team completed the Championships with strong races and performances. The Bulldogs placed second overall with a total score of 1,490.5 points - 125.5 points behind Harvard but 189.5 points ahead of Princeton.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - the Yale women’s swimming and diving team finished the third day of the Championships strongly. The team is currently standing second with 990 points, just 63 points behind Harvard - the current leader.

  • Bulldogs Finish Day 1 of Championships First after Record-Breaking Relay

    Thanks to a record-breaking performance in the 200-yard medley relay, the Yale women's swimming and diving team began the Ivy League Championships with a strong start. The team is currently tied for first with Harvard with leading points of 118 overall.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Yale women’s swimming and diving pulled through a tough competition against Harvard and Princeton this past weekend, winning overall against both teams. The team was shortly behind after completion of the first day, scoring 66-84 against Princeton and 71-79 against Harvard. Both swimmers and divers made a strong comeback the second day to finish the overall competition with scores of 161-139 against Princeton and 162-138 against Harvard.
  • Yale Takes on Harvard and Princeton in a Tri-Meet

    NEW HAVEN, Conn.--The Yale women's swimming and diving team is preparing to travel to Cambridge, Mass., for the annual HYP meet this weekend.  The tri-meet meet will the be the last regular season competition for the Bulldogs before the Ivy Championships in February.  Harvard, Princeton and Yale are currently undefeated in official Ivy dual meet competition so far this season, so this weekend's showdown will determine who holds on to the undefeated record and earns the Ivy dual meet trophy. Both days will be streamed live on the Ivy League Network (12:00 p.m. Saturday, 12:00 p.m. Sunday).

    ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Yale women's swimming and diving team had a tight competition with Navy but ultimately won with a 164-131 victory. The Bulldogs took first place in 10 of 16 events.

  • Another Victory for the Bulldogs

    The Yale women's swimming and diving team won against Cornell 271-82 in their final home meet of the 2017-18 season. The team claimed first in 18 of the 19 events, majority of which the Bulldogs claimed second and third places as well.
  • Bulldogs Off To Strong Start Vs. Cornell

    Yale is off to a strong start vs. Cornell. The Bulldogs won a pair of relays (400-yard medley, 200-yard freestyle). In addition, McKenna Tennant captured the 3-meter diving and Cailley Silbert won the 1000 freestyle.
