High School: Hyde was a two-sport athlete for Saratoga High School. She lettered all four years in both Swimming and Waterpolo. She captained both teams her senior year. Her high school team took seventh place in the Central Coast Section. Individually, Hyde competed at Junior Nationals in the 100 and 200-meter fly, 100 and 200-meter freestyle and the 200-meter IM. She was swimming MVP all four year and a scholastic All-American two of them. For Waterpolo, she was 1st Team All-League (one year) and 2nd team All-League (two years). She was also awarded Most Defensive Player (two years). Academically, she was a scholar-athlete and Scholar of Distinction. She was also awarded Very High Honors for her GPA. Personal: Hyde is in Trumbull College. She is intending to major in either environmental studies or political science. She is interested in a career in environmental policymaking. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, hiking, biking, cooking and gardening. During the summers, she was a swimming coach. Her father Philip attended Swarthmore College where he wrestled and played rugby, and her mother Karen attended UC Davis.
